Expander, Twin Block, Traditional Braces

The most common types of first phase treatment are:

Palatal Expander

This a custom made appliance that is fixed to the roof of your child’s mouth. By making weekly adjustments at home it slowly widens the upper arch to create more space for the adult teeth. Treatment length can be anywhere from 6-12 months.

                            Twin Block

A Twin block is a removable devices that is custom made to fit your childs teeth. It is worn day and night to help with the growth of the jaws. It is used to correct both under and overbites.

Short Course of Braces

A short course of traditional braces is some times necessary to bring teeth into correct alignment which serves to hold spaces and allow other teeth to erupt into the correct position
